Sunmarke School wanted a play structure that looks natural rather than plastic. The fort we installed is built from log-style timber posts and picket rails, with a roofed lookout tower, a staircase with handrails, a climbing ramp, a rope net and a curved spiral slide.
Above it, a camouflage shade net filters the sun, and floodlights let the area be used after dark. The flooring is EPDM wetpour by Urban Terrain, poured in blue and teal shapes that follow the outline of the structure. A bonded rubber surface stays level and can’t be kicked out of the fall zone the way loose sand can, which matters on a busy school playground.
